If you do this, if you set goals like this
you will never fail 🎯
We often do everything while setting goals,
making it a SMART goal,
assessing situation, planning resources
and get emotionally high with the aspirations of achieving the result,
but what if, despite doing everything, you don’t achieve your goals
especially if the goal is of utmost important to you.
In my coaching experience, I have met people who breakdown,
go in depression when they don’t achieve what they desperately wanted to.
they don’t think of what they will do if they fail.
There is a stigma around success and goal achievement that we all want to be the achiever.
Few people laugh about having plan B and plan C,
stating she or he is not committed about a goal if she or he has option B and option C.
But life is not a motivational book or a movie my friend,
and how much ever we plan and try, life can give surprises.
So, it is better when we set goals, we also think of what is to be done if we don’t achieve the end result.
Life is not over just because we did not achieve something.
And by the way, even if your goal was a SMART goal,
are you sure it was your real ‘Wants’ or was it still a ‘Means to your real Wants’
Is achieving revenue and profit your goal or growth and sustainability? 📈
Is being successful your end goal or being happy? 🌻
So next time when you set goal for yourself or for your team,
remember to take a comprehensive perspective.
