PAC-MAN 8.0.0 €?

In this article, we will introduce you to the new and enhanced features of VMware vSphere 8.0, show you how to download and install the software components, and give you some tips and best practices for optimizing your virtualization and cloud computing experience.

PAC-MAN 8.0.0 –

Whats New in VMware vSphere 8.0?

VMware vSphere 8.0 introduces several new and improved features that aim to enhance the performance, security, scalability, and usability of your virtual infrastructure. Some of the highlights include:

  • VMware vSphere with Tanzu: This feature allows you to run Kubernetes clusters on your vSphere environment, enabling you to deploy and manage containerized applications alongside your virtual machines. You can use the Tanzu Kubernetes Grid service to create and manage guest clusters on vSphere, or integrate with third-party Kubernetes platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift or Rancher.

  • VMware vSAN 8.0: This feature provides software-defined storage for your vSphere clusters, allowing you to pool and manage the local storage resources of your ESXi hosts. VMware vSAN 8.0 introduces support for NVMe-oF (Non-Volatile Memory Express over Fabrics), which enables you to access remote NVMe devices over a network fabric with low latency and high throughput. It also supports HCI Mesh, which allows you to share storage capacity across multiple vSAN clusters without requiring dedicated inter-cluster links.

  • VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.1: This feature provides software-defined networking for your vSphere environment, allowing you to create and manage virtual networks, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and more. VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.1 introduces support for NSX Advanced Load Balancer (formerly known as Avi Networks), which provides a scalable and intelligent load balancing solution for your applications. It also supports NSX Federation, which allows you to synchronize policies and configurations across multiple NSX-T Data Center instances.

  • VMware vSphere Lifecycle Manager: This feature simplifies the management of your ESXi hosts and clusters by providing a unified interface for applying updates, patches, drivers, firmware, and configurations. You can use image profiles to define the desired state of your hosts and clusters, and use baselines to compare and remediate any deviations from that state.

  • VMware vSphere Trust Authority: This feature enhances the security of your vSphere environment by establishing a trusted relationship between your ESXi hosts and vCenter Server. You can use attestation services to verify the integrity of your hosts hardware and software components, and use encryption services to protect your hosts data at rest and in transit.

  • VMware vSphere Bitfusion: This feature enables you to share GPU resources across your vSphere clusters, allowing you to run GPU-accelerated applications on any ESXi host without requiring local GPU devices. You can use Bitfusion servers to pool and manage your GPU resources, and use Bitfusion clients to access them over the network.

How to Download and Install VMware vSphere 8.0?

To download VMware vSphere 8.0 components, you need to have a valid VMware account and license key. You can visit the VMware Customer Connect portal to access the download page for each component.

To install VMware ESXi 8.0 on your server hardware, you need to download the ISO image file (VMware-VMvisor-Installer-8.0-20513097.x86_64.iso) and burn it to a CD-ROM or USB flash drive. You can then c481cea774
