What is I Me Aur Main about?

I Me Aur Main is a movie that explores the relationships and dilemmas of a self-centered music producer named Ishaan, who has to deal with the consequences of his actions after he breaks up with his long-term girlfriend Anushka and falls in love with his new neighbor Gauri.

The plot of the movie

The movie begins with Ishaan, who lives with his girlfriend Anushka, a successful lawyer, in a luxurious apartment. He enjoys the perks of being pampered by her, but he is also commitment-phobic and takes her for granted. He also cheats on her with his colleague Raima, a hot and ambitious model.

One day, Anushka finds out that she is pregnant with Ishaan's child, but he reacts indifferently and tells her to abort it. She decides to break up with him and kick him out of the apartment. Ishaan moves into a new apartment, where he meets Gauri, a bubbly and independent hairstylist, who lives next door. He is instantly attracted to her and tries to woo her.

Gauri initially rejects him, but soon they become friends and start dating. She helps him grow as a person and teaches him how to be responsible and caring. Meanwhile, Anushka gives birth to a baby girl and names her Nisha. She also starts dating her boss Mihir, who is supportive and loving.

Ishaan's life seems to be going well until he faces some challenges at his work. His boss Shiv threatens to fire him if he does not deliver a hit song for Raima's album. He also finds out that Raima is dating Shiv behind his back. He feels betrayed and depressed.

He decides to visit Anushka and Nisha, hoping to reconcile with them. However, he is shocked to see Mihir there as well. He realizes that he has lost Anushka forever and that he has no rights over Nisha. He leaves heartbroken.

He then confesses his love to Gauri and proposes to her. She accepts his proposal, but she also tells him that she has to go to Paris for six months for a hairstyling course. She asks him to wait for her and promises to come back.

The movie ends with Ishaan waiting at the airport for Gauri's arrival. He holds a placard that says "I love you Gauri". He smiles as he sees her coming towards him.
